    Hello there,

I am trying the various lightbox scripts (prettyphoto, swipebox, fancybox, nivo lightbox and image lightbox) but, at least on my end, they are not all responsive. Is it normal or should they all be responsive? Moreover, I like swipebox a lot but there’s a problem I’m encountering with it. On an iPad or iPhone, if I tap on one picture to enlarge it, I obviously can’t see the commands to go backwards or forwards anymore which is expected, but when I try to tap again on the same picture and to make it go back to normal size, the process doesn’t work and I’m stuck until I use the browser to go back of a page (and I esc the gallery). Any idea on how to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Enrico

All of the scripts are responsive, but the best are swipebox, nivo and image lightbox. prettyphoto and fancybox might not work correctly on newer deveices as these were not developed with focus on mobile devices.

Did you test swipebox on desktop? Maybe it’s a more general problem, not iPad or iPhone specific – I mean a JS conflict for example.

Thanks for the answer. I tried swipebox on a desktop and also on a notebook and it works fine. In fact, being responsive, it perfectly adapts also to iPad and iPhone screens, and it works fine unless you try to zoom a picture with a double tap on it. If you doubletap, the image becomes bigger as supposed, but once you tap again to bring it back to normal size (which would allow to use the commands to go forward and backward and to close the image), it only works randomly but not always. For this reason, in case you zoom a picture and can’t zoom out again, it is impossible to go to the next image or quit, and the only way to go on, is to use the browser back arrow which “kicks” you out of the picture gallery. It might be not easy to solve this issue, I’m afraid….. Any idea? Thanks again……….. Cheers

I don’t think I can help you with this, sorry. As long as WP stays with jQuery version below 2.0 we can’t update the lightbox script to the version that might include a fix for this.
