As requested, I wanted to start a separate thread regarding issues I’m having with this plugin working within a custom theme I am using.

Bob, I took a look at your site and:

    1. Your theme is already using a lightbox script
    2. Responsive Lightbox is a second one (so we have a confilct) or third (I deactivated one for you)
    3. To see how it works and the way it conflicts change option Selector in Responsive Lightbox settings from lightbox to prettyPhoto

My suggestion then: digg into the theme to disable bultin lightbox and then use our plugin. The ligthbox script must be only one per page.

Thanks, Bartosz…I appreciate you taking the time to look at the site. The lightbox script seems to be embedded in a page template and I do not see how I can disable it within the theme through any settings, unless I’m just overlooking something simple. I suppose the script conflict will keep your plugin from working within my theme, so I may be stuck here without a work around.

    Hi Bob,

The plugin is working but there’s still a conflict with lightbox script used in your theme (2 script are applied for image enlargement)

When it comes to the gallery – each of those links opens a different page where images are displayed in a slideshow gallery. Again, this is the feature of your theme (quite nice one by the way) but there is no easy way to change it’s bahavior (those are not image links, but page links).

All the problems you are facing have one thing in common: you are using a theme that has quite many built-in functionalies. When you try to change those functionalities by means of the plugins, it’s not being replaced but duplicated.

I think you should try to consult the theme author, on how to modify the theme he/she created.

Sounds a bit complicated, but if you’re happy with it, we’re too :)
