There is a big issue related to timezone but I found a temporary solution. You just need to keep the timezone by default (UTC) if you want to show popular posts by day, and the most daily visited posts will update at that time with no problems. Sadly you can’t use your country timezone because the plugin doesn’t update properly and it shows nothing for hours!
