    I have 2 sites:

    https://kvphoto.com/blog/
    https://pro4um.com/blog/

Both sites are set up exactly the same way…..but neither is working….if you look at older posts…they have count numbers into the hundreds….but nothing new that I post is working.

Today, I noticed that I went from ZERO yesterday to 2 on several of the newer blog posts….but nothing….I can log out and refresh, stay logged in, nothing will make it change the count number.

I changed nothing, I adjusted nothing, and it just stopped working.

    Thoughts????

What counting method you use? PHP/JS/Rest API? Try switching that and check the results.
If you use JS/Rest API we don’t see no PVC code being run on the frontend.

Do you use any caching plugin? If so use JS/Rest API and purge the cache.

Did plugin update successfully? Try reinstalling it just in case.

When it first installed…and it was working properly….I was using PHP…..then it stopped working and I tried JS and Rest API/. None worked…so I put it back to PHP and it still did not work.

I did try “REINSTALLING” but I’m going to go and do that again.

To my knowledge I do not have any PVC code…being I do not know what that is?

I do not use any caching plugin either.

I did re-install the plugin and it is still not working!

I noticed that I did get a WARNING when I went to reinstall it:

Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.

    Maybe it’s not compatible???

There’s no room for incompatibility, unless you use a very old WordPress version (which I doubt).

Please set the method to JS and let us know.

Hello there, I am having the exact same problem. My website is at https://kendrickuy.com/ and the post view counter stopped working since the last plugin update.

OK…it’s official, not working….I put it on JS as instructed….let is sit for a day……and made a blog post….at the end, it still said, ZERO as far as views. I then put it on PHP…and let it sit for a while….I just went back…it now says 1 view.

Meanwhile, I posted to Facebook a thread that said, go look at my BLOG, and I included a link to that blog post. The Facebook post was viewed over 500 times…and I have a whole bunch of comments about the blog post, so I know people read it or they would not be able to make those comments.

SO….it’s official, “Post View Counter” has the FLU…and is NOT WORKING!

    What should I do?

There may be “no room for incompatibility” but there’s definitely room for a problem. It hasn’t worked in over a week. I have also tried all three settings and do have the latest version of wordpress. This is happening on two different sites.

YEP…they got a problem and for some reason feel they do not have a problem…..I wish they would fix it because it’s a nice product…but if it does not work…it is useless????

I also am having the same problem. I’m showing 4 views and have had none for several days. Would really appreciate some help in getting this resolved.

There are 60,000 active installs of this plugin so if you say it’s not working, it’s not working “for you”.

    Now question is why.
We don’t see you site running JS mode, so we’d need temporary admin access and ftp access to your site to find out.

The same thing happened to me. I added a new post yesterday, but it said that I only have 1 post view, which I know is incorrect. (I had to manually change it from what another plug-in said I had for recent page views.)

I’m going to give it a couple of days, then I’m going to delete and try another product. Mine is showing no views since yesterday and less than 2% of the views of my previous blog. I have had more people talk to me about the content than are showing as having viewed it. This product seems to be the highest rated, but if it doesn’t work and there are no answers…

    Frank:

I have crossed that point already…I have been BEGGING and BEGGING for help…and all I get is “Try JS”….which I already reported that I had tried and did not work.

    SO???

IF you find something comparable, please report what you found here so everyone can switch.

What is SAD is I had to figure this out on my own.

Prior to the “WordPress upgrade”….I had my settings this way:

    Count Interval 24 Hours
    Reset Data 0 hours
    Flush Object 0

I have just noticed that it will start working again if you set Count Interval to 0 hours.

I’ll give that a shot. Thanks!

I just tested it again….and this Totally FIXED my problem…it is now working again.

We’ve found the problem – and it’s a server issue related to specific server setup that does not properly recognize users IP address.

Working on a fix (to be released soon).

The just released v1.2.11 It includes a workaround for this.
Please upgrade (and don’t enable the new Strict Counts option)

I’ve tries carious settings – PHP, JS & REST — different count intervals — and have not checked “strict counts”. However, the counts haven’t been correct ever since this issue was first reported 2 or 3 weeks ago. What are the correct settings? Whatever happened, I still have problems.

    thanks
