RSS Feeds not working correctly – sorted by published date, not by event date

Fist off, thank for a great plugin! Secondly, if I’m not doing the below correctly, please let me know how to do it.

As the title says – currently, if I go to blog/events/feed, it will output a feed just like my blog. The problem is, I want an events feed that is sorted by date ascending, just like the archive page, not by event published date.

Is there a way to make Events Maker work this way? If not, why not? This should be a basic function of all events plugins.
