I was hoping that Photoswipe would allow something I’d been looking for, which is to pinch-zoom images.
Sadly, that doesn’t seem to work. Pinch-zooming just zooms the entire page. In desktop view, when I see the magnifying glass available, it seems to zoom the previous off-screen image.
This is a WooCommerce gallery. I’d been using your free plugin with “prettyphoto” which worked well, but also had issues with zooming.
What can I look at?
Of note, I use UberMenu and ShiftNav.
Also looking for a toggle to disable autoplay of images.15 September 2016 at 05:48 #12849
Actually now it’s acting a bit differently. I can pinch zoom, but when I let go, the image shrinks to an odd, non-proportional size and hangs to the left of the screen. There’s no obvious way to recover for the user.
I can show you the site, but need to provide credentials.
Also, please define the “priority” support I paid an extra $10 for. :)15 September 2016 at 16:18 #12858
Can we have a look at your site?15 September 2016 at 20:46 #12868
As noted, it’s a staging site. I need to give you credentials to login privately…15 September 2016 at 20:48 #12869

Any news?18 September 2016 at 15:40 #12918PaulParticipant
Sorry, I just started a new topic on this — but I too am having the same problem. I just purchased “photoswipe.” When I bring up a photo on my iPhone, I can’t zoom in. My site is: http://localspins.com.18 September 2016 at 19:15 #12929
I’ve not made any progress, but I have verified the following do not fix the issue:
– Disabling the “autoptimize” plugin that minifies/combines css and js
– Disabling ShiftNav
– Removing async/defer loading from all js
– Removing another lightbox script
The main issue I see is that on mobile (or desktop if I decrease the viewport) is that the “zoom” function zooms in a non-proportionate way and then shoves the image over to the left 1/3 of the screen.
No idea what other conflicts I should be looking for.19 September 2016 at 11:55 #12946
We’re checking this. We’ll get back to you with some feedback.
Please create a separate thread for this – for now we don’t see Photoswipe being in use on your site (but there is a couple of different lightbox scripts running at the same time – a possible room for JS conflicts)19 September 2016 at 15:34 #12955
I think we’ve found a bug Charles,
Can you reach us via contact form – we’d send you a beta version to see if it works for you as expected before the official release.19 September 2016 at 23:48 #12963
Sent info via contact form a few hours ago – let me know if you need anything else.21 September 2016 at 00:14 #12979
I think it seems to be working, going to continue testing in a few more browsers.
Thanks!1 February 2018 at 01:58 #23053jringerParticipant
I am having trouble with my website and allowing photos to be zoomed in on mobile.
Here’s a sample blog page: https://kbcrate.com/kitchencrate-custom-fairhaven-place-modesto-ca-complete/
When on your phone, if you try to click and image and then zoom, the website goes a bit crazy and you’re unable to view the image. Any recommendations as to how to get the ability to pinch zoom on photos?
