Hello, I can’t seem to get a HTML link to an image to be used as the lightbox handler.

The HTML I am using is as follows:
    <a href="http://www.thewoodmillofmaine.com/?p=3487" target="_blank">Click for picture</a>

The images are saved in the wordpress media library. When that link is clicked, the picture is opened in that same window, but on a new page, using a photo viewer I believe is built in with the wordpress theme. Is lightbox not working? Or is my handler code wrong? Or is my theme or another plugin interfering with lightbox? Any help would be appreciated.

That depends on each of the scripts separately, but ImageLightbox and Swipebox do not support HTML in lightbox at all.

I suggest using Nivo Lightbox for this and here’s the documentation: http://docs.dev7studios.com/jquery-plugins/nivo-lightbox

    Thanks for the response.

So, if I understand you right, responsive lightbox does not work with a html handler at all?! Is there no way to have a link open up a lightbox using the responsive lightbox plugin?

Of course there is but not automatically. You just have to follow each script documentation to make it work.
