Installed, activated, shortcodes on page, but nothing shows up, page is blank

I’m baffled, trying to implement Download Attachments. The plugin is installed and activated. The default settings are set. On a page, I’ve put these shortcodes —

[download-attachment attachment_id=”17″]
 
[download-attachment]
 
[download-attachments container=”div” title=”Attachments” style=”none” display_icon=”0″ display_user=”1″]

— but on the public site, nothing’s there, the page is blank.

What am I missing?
