Hot to remove grey borderline from portrait pictures

    the lightbox shows most of my images with s single point black or grey border at the right side.
    how can I remove this?

    I checked this bevaviour in Chrome, Safari and Firefox under Mac El Capitan and Sierra, and it shows in all browsers, but in most cases only if I change the size of the browser window – the border shows up in certain sizes of the window/image, disappears when changing window size, appears again etc.
