After updating to WordPress 5.6, events are no longer displayed on the event calendar page.
Events still appear on the event page.

Any suggestions on how to fix this, or where to look would be greatly appreciated.

I found a solution. It´s the version of jquery. With the plugin jQuery Version Control I go back to an older jQuery Version and the calender works again although I`ve installed wordpress 5.6.

Select your desired jQuery version: jQuery Core 2.2.4
Select your desired jQuery Migrate version: jQuery Migrate 3.3.1

This works for me but I hope the plugin will get an update so that the calender works with the actual version of jQuery too.

Thanks for this easy solution! Had the same problem and the workaround saved me.

How do you select the jQuery Core and Migrate version? Is this done through the plugin?

Nevermind….figured it out. Unfortunately, I have other plugins that need the newer version of jQuery in order to work. Any idea when a fix will be released???

I’m having the same problem. Do the developers read these? Any word on a fix?

I tried the jquery change. It fixed the issue with Events Maker but broke other areas of my site. Will there be an update to Events Maker anytime soon?

I found a solution that works for my website. Your mileage may vary.

The version of Events Maker my website uses came bundled with the theme. The theme includes some templates for events. I discovered that in the Events Maker settings, under the templates tab, there is an option to enable the use of default templates. I unchecked the box for using default templates, so Events Maker uses the templates included in the theme. That fixed the empty calendar problem for my website. It seems that the Events Maker default templates are buggy.
