When the lightbox is triggered in iPhone iOS7, the close box is initially visible, but when when I try to click it, that triggers the mobile Safari browser buttons which obscures the lightbox buttons. This is a BIG problem, because right now any time the lightbox appears, it locks out all user interaction, and you can only reload the whole page to get out of the lightbox (the browser back button doesn’t work either).

This seemed to be a problem before, but I thought you fixed it. Any help? Thanks in advance :)

Note: I’m using SwipeBox when I get the bug. FancyBox seems to work ok, but I’d rather use SwipeBox :)

Ok, we’ll think what we can do here.

I did it once so overcome by caption and I have exchanged action box. Since I do not need the caption box anyway.

Can we put the Exit-Button in the upper Bar?

This can be fixed using some CSS. But could anyone provide a screenshot for this?

    I have a screenshot https://www.evernote.com/shard/s3/sh/0c855543-97e6-4b28-8349-fc83b5db7362/e796f96d92415a0d66c1472dcbc72305

This ticket has been open for 3 months, though. Haven’t you seen this issue on iOS before?

Steve, this is just a CSS issue that might be solved with a simple tweak. Did you try adding a bottom margin to the bottom nav area of the scwipebox script?

I see the same issue on the demo. iOS 7 on iPhone 5. It doesn’t happen on iPad and it is specific to Safari. As soon as you try to hit close or prev/next, the Safari bottom bar pops up, making it impossible to close the lightbox without reloading the page.

Since Safari is iPhone’s default and Swipebox is default for the plugin, this affects a lot of users.

This is purely a SwipeBox issue that the author is aware of. It sounds like he will move the close button to the top. Hopefully it will be fixed soon then updated in this plugin. Both great tools.
