This is a subsequent question started in the WordPress.org Forums topic.
    ——————

Breadcrumb navigation on the single event page in the secondary language does not work correctly with Polylang plugin.

Assume the English language is primary (en), Russian is secondary (ru).

Case 1. Language is set from the directory name like
    example.dev/ru/events/event/event-name/:
There is incorrect “Home” link for the secondary language pointing to the primary language “Home”.

Case 2. Language is set from the subdomain name like
    ru.example.dev/events/event/100/:

    • “Home” is pointing to the primary language “Home”.
    • “Events” link pointing to the ru/ directory with no ru subdomain.
    • As well, in this case, calendar widget date links are incorrect too.

Also, I figured out today. When I create a translated event in the secondary language, the slug gets already malformed during post publication. It happens in both cases explained above.

    • ru.example.dev/events/event/russian-event-name/ instead of translated slugs
    • ru.example.dev/events-ru/event-ru/russian-event-name/

    and

    • example.dev/ru/events/event/russian-event-name/ instead of translated slugs
    • example.dev/ru/events-ru/event-ru/russian-event-name/

WordPress, Events Maker, Polylang – everything is up-to-date.

    1. I’ve made a clean WordPress install with Events Maker and Polylang the only plugins enabled.
    2. Created two languages, EN (default) and RU.
    3. Created required pages under Events Maker -> Settings -> Display.
    4. Changed required pages’ slugs for the secondary language under Languages -> Strings translations.

No other default settings were altered.

Also, I’ve tried to Hide (and Show) URL language information for default language in Polylang Settings but it does not have an impact on the issue.
